AVA Map - Lake County - Floral Art Print
Cheers from Wine Country! "Wine Country" could technically be any of a number of regions around the world, country, or even state. So which wine country? The North Coast California Wine Region! This is my spin on an AVA Map, which are usually very topographical, showing the general outlines* of the nested AVAs within the Lake County AVA.
What the heck is an AVA?
AVA stands for American Viticultural Area. A federally-recognized region indicative an Appellation of Origin used for wine labels. Basically, something about that area (ex. climate, geology, and/or elevation) makes it unique and impacts the grapes used for wine. If a wine label lists an AVA, at least 85% or more of the grapes used to make it came from within that AVA, and the wine was finished in that state (courtesy of The Wine Institute).
The flowers are not particularly significant, just ones I like.
*Please note the boundaries are not exact!

Text on Print: "Lake County AVA Map"
Size: 8” x 10” - easy-peasy to find a frame, versatile for most spaces, may even fit in a scrapbook when you don't want it on the wall anymore.
Orientation: Portrait - That's tall one, not the wide one
Paper Content: 100% Cotton Rag, acid free, lignin free (prevents discoloration and fading), and no optical brighteners - Tree-free AND the cotton typically comes from the textile industry.
Thickness/Weight: 285 gsm or 290 gsm - What does that mean? The paper is thick and durable, and would probably jam your home printer. I either print at home or use a giclee printing company - hence the slight difference.
Ink: Pigment-based ink - holds up better in sunny spots and stays colorful longer!
Prints are eco-packaged using:
- Rigid direct mailer envelopes made from 90% post-consumer recycled materials, and they are certified recyclable and naturally biodegradable. Boom.
- Zero-waste shipping labels - both the label AND backing (the thing you peel a fresh sticker off of) are recyclable. We don't always think about the label part when we recycle!
All materials are subject to change based on availability. Don’t worry, I won’t compromise quality.
